Taste Worcester, a new event in partnership with Visit Worcestershire, took place for the first time in October 2023 to showcase Worcester's food offerings throughout the month. The event aimed to increase footfall into foodie venues and attract new customers by offering special menus and/or discounted menu items at a value of £5/£10/£15. Participating businesses became Taste Worcester Venues and were promoted on Visit Worcester, Worcester BID, and Visit Worcestershire's social media and marketing.

We can’t wait to bring the Taste Worcester back and provide a restaurant focus event for our venues.

The Worcester BID collaborates with local member businesses to collect information on their opening hours and promote late-night shopping. This initiative aims to attract more customers, particularly office workers and 9-to-5 employees, who may want to complete their Christmas shopping after 5 PM. For the final three Thursdays in December, following the conclusion of the Victorian Christmas Fayre, the city will extend its hours, allowing both major and independent retailers to stay open late. This provides additional time for Christmas shopping and boosts revenue for participating businesses. Worcester BID take on the promotion of this to let shoppers know about the pledged hours of opening in the City and to map late-night offerings for an easy visit!
