A. Our favourite lunchtime venue isMac&
Jac’sCaféDeli onFriar Street. Theyhave a
wide rangeof teas anddelicious cakes and
pastriesmade in their in-housebakery. This
family-run caféhas agreat lunchmenu and
thedeli sells a rangeof artisanproducts from
local suppliers.

business in the Worcester BID area?
A.We’ve chosen twobusinesses that always
inspireuswith their passion and creativity.
Beautiful Flowers onNewStreet for their
wonderful bouquets and attention todetail
- this shop is a treasure troveof all things
floral andhas suchuniqueproducts.We
also loveTheLittlePinkCakeShopon
Friar Street. This is such a small creative
shopwith agreat selectionof occasion
cakes. AngelaVeronica theowner has so
muchpassion for her cakes that you cannot
fail tobe inspired.
Q. What would you recommend as a
hidden gem in Worcester for visitors
to discover?
A.We recently visitedGreyfriars’ House and
GardenonFriar Street for thefirst time and
were amazedby thebeautyof this space in
the centreofWorcester. The timber-framed
merchant’s house andgarden aremagical
and for those interested inhistorical buildings
this is amust-see attraction. They alsohold
lots of events throughout the year.
Q. Do you have a top tip for visitors
to Worcester?
A.We are extremelypassionate about the
wonderful independent shops thatWorcester
has tooffer andwould advise visitors to
ventureoff theHighStreet and to seek
out thediverse rangeof shops, cafés and
restaurants that setWorcester apart from
other cities. By asking local people for
recommendations onwhere to shop, eat or
visit, theywill find someofWorcester’s best
kept secrets.
